Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a major resort city located in Nevada, USA. It is the self proclaimed "entertainment capital" of the world, famous for its numerous casinos and associated entertainment. When people say let's go to Vegas, they are usually referring to the areas surrounding the 6.8km stretch of the Las Vegas boulevard, know as "the strip".
Disneyland
The original Disneyland is located in Anaheim, California, USA. It is opened in 1955, and is the only theme park to have been built under the supervision of Walt Disney himself. It features 8 distinctively themed areas such as Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tommorrow land, each hosting various resturants, entertainments and attractions.
Broadway
If you love theatrical production then you will love the USA. Broadway, New York is famous around the world for having 40 professional theatre companies running musicals and stages plays on a day to day basis, with great classics such as "Phantom of the Opera", "the Lion King" and "Chicago", creative new plays are also staged at a regular basis.
Tips for travelling in the USA
- Be prepared at the airport, with the threat of terrorism, the security and custom is really tight.
- Harrican season is June to November, so be careful if you plan to travel to coastal area like New Orlean.
- Always keep your travel documents with you. In some states, officials will randomly check for documents in the public.
- Most things are cheaper in the USA than in Australia, such as eating and shopping, but not accomedation.
